Race Communications announces
changes in
the Cisco Systems software line for Cisco Routers
1750, Cisco 2600XM and Cisco 3700, starting from version 12.3.
The number of software types has been reduced
by the manufacturer from 44 to 8 to simplify
the selection procedure. At the same time, a new
principle of inheritance has been introduced, when
higher-level software has
all the properties of all
lower-level software.

IP Base

The main type of software. Designed for
routers occupied only by
data transmission. Supports
DSL technologies, 802.1q trunks. All
the following types of software contain
all IP Base functions. Installed in
default routers.

IP Voice
|
Based on IP Base. Added
Support for VoIP, VoFR, ITS, SRST technologies and
signaling protocols such as H.323,
MGCP.

Advanced Security
|
Based on IP Base. Added
support for VPN, IDS, Firewall, SSH technologies.

|
Based on IP Voice. Added full
support for VoIP, VoATM, NetFlow, IPv6 technologies.
