Introducing new router models – Cisco 2600 XM.

Cisco Systems has released upgraded versions of Cisco 2600 series routers. The new models are designated by the letters XM after the number and are characterized by increased performance and increased DRAM and Flash memory.

The 2610/11XM and 2620/21XM models come with 32 MB of DRAM and 16 MB of Flash memory, and the 2650/51XM models with 64 MB and 16 MB of DRAM and Flash memory, respectively. The maximum memory capacity of all XM models is 128 MB of DRAM and 48 MB of Flash. With 33 percent increased performance, Cisco 2600XM models capable of routing data at speeds from 20 to 40 thousand packets per second.

Cisco 2600XM Series routers support all software features available in the Cisco 2600 series, all expansion modules supported in the previous series, as well as one to two 10/100 ports Fast Ethernet.

The prices for Cisco 2600XM routers do not differ from the cost of similar Cisco 2600 models. Deliveries are carried out with June 2002.
