The latest signal transmission technologies
place the highest demands on the cable subsystem. Responding to them, Siemon Company, one of the world's leading manufacturers of equipment for structured cabling systems (SCS), already supplies a complete set of Category 6 components. Race Communications has tested these products and is starting to use a new generation of SCS in its projects.

SCS is one of the components of the capital
infrastructure, so it should be
    designed for a service life of 10-15 years. When
designing a cable system , you should
    take into account the pace of development of transfer technologies
    information and lay a solid "stock
    strength". This can be achieved if
    use products that are superior in
    technical parameters requirements of existing
    and upcoming standards.



    The company Siemon was one of the first to develop and start
    release components for building SCS
    categories 6. Moreover, new products
    ensure compliance of the cable system
    the requirements of Category 6 (Class E) in the extended
frequency range - up to 250 MHz, while the
draft standard is limited to the frequency of 200 MHz
(approval of the standard is expected in spring 1999).



    Structured cabling systems,

    application of third-party cable products,
    having a Siemon certificate (for example, CommScope cables).



    Today Siemon produces the following products
    categories 6:



    Modular sockets for use in
switching panels and in the workplace.
    Modular sockets are available for straight and
inclined (angular) installation.



    Cables assembled, tested during manufacture and
meeting the requirements of category 6 in the strip
    frequencies up to 250 MHz. Switching blocks.
    The technology of application and the tools are the same,
    as for S110 blocks with full compliance
    category 6 requirements.



    Category 6 switching panels with high
port density (up to 24 ports per 1 RMS) and modular
design.
