New quality of satellite communication lines for subscribers of the SPIN network in the New Year 2005.
On December 21, 2004, construction and installation works and test tests of the additional antenna system of the central Earth Station complex (TSS) of the SPIN satellite communications network were completed. Thus, a new 9.15 m antenna system manufactured by ViaSat Inc, which is the leader among antenna systems of this class in most technical parameters, has been put into operation on the territory of the Bear Lakes CCC.
The use of the new antenna system will allow in 2005 to achieve an even higher quality of satellite communication lines in the SPIN network, increase the list of services, as well as solve other network development tasks more efficiently.
The SPIN satellite communications network was deployed by Race Communications in early 2004. The space segment of the network is implemented on the basis of two new-generation Russian satellites "Express-AM22" and "Express-AM11". This allowed the SPIN satellite network to get the maximum coverage area in Russia and the CIS, as well as to achieve high reliability in the provision of satellite communication services: IP telephony, voice and video transmission, satellite Internet.
