Today Schmid Telecom produces three families of xDSL products. Watson 2 modems use 2B1Q modulation and provide data transmission at a speed of 2 Mbit/s over two telephone pairs.

Watson 3 devices are also capable of transmitting data at a fixed rate of 2 Mbit/s in two pairs, but they use CAP modulation for this.

Watson 4 products are based on CAP modulation, but they allow you to change the data transfer rate and use a single telephone pair.

Releasing equipment based on the two most common types of modulation, 2B1Q and CAP, Schmid Telecom is able to offer a solution for most existing or new multi -pair telephone communication lines, compatible in the electromagnetic spectrum with other signals in the cable.

All Watson families are equipped with G.703 and Serial interfaces (V.35/X.21), and NetXS models of the Watson 4 family are equipped with an Ethernet 10BaseT interface. They are available in various versions: stand-alone devices, compact modules for installation in a 19” rack, boards for a 19” chassis. AC and DC power is supported , as well as remote power from the line.
