Race Communications introduces the new modular system Sun Blade 6000.

Race Communications introduces a new modular server Sun Blade 6000. The multifunctional Sun Blade 6000 system has the highest performance, memory capacity and increased throughput of the I/O subsystem, and can be used for enterprise-level applications, in data centers, for high-performance computing systems, virtualization, DBMS, the largest Web sites, etc.

Sun Blade 6000 supports modular servers with UltraSPARC T1 processors based on CoolThreads, Intel Xeon and AMD Opteron technologies. Sun Blade 6000 has great operational flexibility, supports Solaris, Windows, Linux operating systems and provides optimal performance. Thanks to the support of various hardware architectures and operating systems, processors with four and eight computing cores, energy efficiency, the new systems provide maximum investment protection.

Sun Blade 6000 Components

  • 10 RU rack-mount enclosure: up to 10 modular servers per enclosure, up to four enclosures per rack. The maximum performance is 320 computing cores and 2.5 terabytes of RAM per rack. The bandwidth of data exchange inside the rack is up to 5 terabits/s.
  • The Sun Blade T6300 modular server is a single–processor server based on the UltraSPARC T1 processor with CoolThreads technology.
  • The Sun Blade X6250 modular server is a dual–processor server with quad-core Intel Xeon 5300 series processors.
  • The Sun Blade X6220 modular server is a dual–processor server based on AMD Opteron processors of the second generation.

The cost of the entry-level Sun Blade 6000 configuration: from $ 9302, delivery from the Race Communications warehouse in Moscow or within 4-6 weeks.
