Race introduces Cisco NM-HDV2 universal voice modules.
Race Communications begins deliveries of new NM-HDV2 multiservice modules for voice gateways based on Cisco routers of the 2600XM, 3700 and 2691 series. The new modules are the most versatile voice expansion modules and are designed to provide interaction with widespread telephone equipment. Cisco NM-HDV2 provides a high density of digital voice ports, analog voice ports, as well as a high density of WAN connections. The modules are compatible with two Cisco AVVID IP telephony architectures - Cisco CallManager with SRST functionality and Cisco CallManager Express.

(NM-HDV2-1T1/E1, NM-HDV2-2T1/E1, NM-HDV2, respectively). Each module has an expansion slot for VWIC and VIC expansion cards. The table lists the VIC/VWIC expansion cards compatible with the new modules.

Special PVDM2 expansion modules have been developed for the new NM-HDV2 multiservice modules, which are installed in internal SIMM connectors located on the module. In total, up to 4 PVDM2 modules are supported. These PVDM2 modules contain DSP processors on which voice streams are processed. The following PVDM2 modules are available: PVDM2-8, PVDM2-16, PVDM2-32, PVDM2-48, PVDM2-64.
Support for new NM-HDV2 modules has been implemented in Cisco IOS software since version 12.3(7)T IP Voice and will continue in later releases.
The cost of modules according to the GPL price list is $1 495, $2 495, $3 195 for NM-HDV, NM-HDV2-1T1/E1 and NM-HDV2-2T1/E1 respectively. Delivery from the Race Communications warehouse in Moscow or within 6-8 weeks.
