Race introduces new Cisco voice modules.

Race Communications begins deliveries of new NM-HD-1V, NM-HD-2V and NM-HD-2VE modules for voice gateways based on Cisco routers of the 2600XM, 3600, 3700 and 2691 series. The new modules are designed to provide interaction with widespread telephone equipment and provide a higher density of analog and digital (BRI) ports compared to previous NM-1V models and NM-2V. Moreover, the new modules can combine analog and digital voice ports, as well as ports for data transmission.

Voice modules use powerful DSP processors of a new generation, the architecture of which allows you to dynamically allocate processor resources between voice channels, so you can simultaneously use codecs of varying complexity. For new DSP processors , all modifications of the G.729 codec now belong to codecs of medium complexity.

The entry-level NM-HD-1V module has one expansion slot for interface cards with analog or digital (BRI) voice ports. Installed on the module A DSP processor that allows processing up to 4 simultaneous calls when using any supported codecs.

Up to 2 interface cards can be installed in the NM-HD-2V dual-slot module in any combination of analog or digital (BRI) voice ports. The built-in DSP processor allows you to process up to 8 simultaneous calls using medium-complexity codecs, and up to 6 calls with high-complexity codecs.

The NM-HD-2VE multipurpose module also has 2 expansion slots for interface cards. In addition to cards with analog and digital (BRI) voice ports, any VWIC MFT cards that can be used for data and/or voice transmission can be installed in the module. Up to 32 HDLC controllers are supported on the NM-HD-2VE module , which allows you to create up to 32 groups (channel groups) on VWIC MFT card ports. DSP processors allow processing up to 18 simultaneous calls when using high-complexity codecs, up to 24 calls with codecs of medium complexity and up to 48 simultaneous calls with the G.711 codec.

It should be noted that the modules can use new two-port or four-port cards, a two-port DID card and VWIC MFT cards as interface cards. Old dual-port voice interface cards are not supported.

Below are the main characteristics of the new modules and a list of supported interface cards. The cost of the modules is shown in the table, delivery from the warehouse Race Communications in Moscow or within 6-8 weeks.
