EiconCards now support LINUX 7.0.
Race Communications, one of the leading Russian system integrators, announces the start of deliveries of a new version of the Eiconcard Connections for LINUX software for Eicon Networks communication boards , the world's largest manufacturer of subscriber devices, communication boards and media servers. The new version of the software provides support for LINUX Redhat 7.0 and SuSe LINUX 7.0.
The Connections for LINUX package is a set of drivers for connecting LINUX servers via global networks using intelligent multiprotocol Eiconcard communication adapters. This software adds new features to the X.25, Frame Relay, PPP protocols that are standardly supplied as part of Eiconcards:
IP routing in X.25, Frame Relay, PPP networks;
support for SNMP management;
connection reservation via ISDN (for S91, S51 and C91 boards);
static and dynamic assignment of IP addresses;
programming library Eiconcard X.25 Development Tool, etc.
The new software works in conjunction with Eiconcard cards for the PCI bus.
Race Communications and Eicon Networks attach great importance to the LINUX OS distributed for free, so in Russia the Connections for LINUX package will also be distributed for free as part of projects.
