Race Communications begins delivery of a fundamentally new device for wireless networks. The Cisco Aironet 1100 Series Wireless LAN Access Point is an inexpensive solution compatible with the IEEE 802.11b protocol and operating at speeds up to 11 Mbit/s. It allows you to combine flexible wireless communication and various levels of service for end users in one device .

Cisco Aironet 1100 is the first wireless access device that uses the operating system Cisco IOS, the same as in routers and switches manufactured by Cisco Systems. The new access point allows you to create up to 16 virtual local area networks (VLANs) and provides various levels of quality of service (QoS). For example, you can separate normal and voice traffic, or access traffic of random users and registered users. Using a single management system for all network devices reduces the cost of network deployment, technical support and increases the security of the wireless network.

The upgrade of the transmitter to a speed of 54 Mbit/s (IEEE 802.11g) is supported by replacing the Mini-PCI form factor radio card (Mini-PCI form factor radio), expansion of RAM and flash memory is possible. Cisco Aironet 1100 Series is certified according to the UL2043 fire safety standard for installation in hard-to-reach places.
