Press release: Race Communications supplies DSL modems with TC-PAM support.

Race Communications, one of the leading Russian system integrators, announces the start of deliveries of FlexDSL (Orion) DSL modems supporting the most advanced TC-PAM modulation to date. Orion devices are part of the FlexDSL family of equipment developed and manufactured by the Russian company NTC NATEX.

TC-PAM modulation differs from the types of modulation widely used today 2B1Q and CAP improved spectral and electromagnetic compatibility with signals most commonly transmitted over multi-pair telephone cables, including analog telephony, analog modems, ISDN, ICM-30 systems, etc. In addition, the modulation TC-PAM provides a transmission range approximately 10% longer than CAP and 20% longer than 2B1Q.

FlexDSL (Orion) modems are capable of transmitting data at a linear speed from 192 to 2048 kbit/s over a single twisted pair and are equipped with G.703, Serial (V.35/V.36/X.21), Ethernet 10BaseT (with a built -in 4-port hub) user interfaces. Devices with an Ethernet interface are offered with bridge and router software (IP routing). Various versions - boards for installation in the chassis, stand-alone devices in a desktop case and the mini-rack housing for mounting in a 19-inch rack, - allow the use of FlexDSL modems (Orion) in a variety of applications, from simple connection of local office networks to building hierarchical networks of providers with high port density.

"Thanks to the promising TC-PAM modulation included in the G.SHDSL specification, digital subscriber line technologies can be implemented where previously it was impossible due to electromagnetic incompatibility or a large length of lines," said Rafael Shamiev, Head of the Product Department at Race Communications. - The use of standard components, domestic development and production provide FlexDSL (Orion) modems with a competitive price."

Race Communications offers FlexDSL (Orion) TC-PAM modems and other equipment of this family on the basis of a distribution agreement with NATEX STC. Under the terms of the agreement, Race Communications customers and partners receive attractive pricing conditions, as well as technical and marketing support.

Race Communications, a Russian system integrator, offers laboratory-tested solutions from leading telecommunications equipment suppliers.
