Press release: Race has become Micromuse's VAR partner in Russia.

In November 2004, Race Communications received the status of Value Added Reseller (VAR) of Micromuse. Micromuse's products enable monitoring, management, reporting and trend analysis for all components of modern information systems: applications, data centers, servers, networks at all levels.

In recent years, information systems have been integrated everywhere with corporate business processes and nowadays require powerful and operational management tools that allow not only to monitor the state of individual fragments of the system, but to obtain a complete picture of its functioning. The ability to have information from all levels of the communication system, plus the means of its analysis, make it possible to prevent the system from causing problems in the company's activities, as well as to provide advanced support and development of the information infrastructure. The use of the "CCAI" methodology (Collect, Consolidate, Analyze and Inform) in the Micromuse Netcool family of products allows users to always be sure that they will solve these tasks.

"Race Communications has been engaged in integration business in Russia for more than 10 years Russia and the CIS countries, — says Leonid Lopatin, CEO of Race Communications. Now we have logically come to sign a cooperation agreement with a global IT company that actively promotes its information system management solutions in Eastern Europe and has successful experience working with telecom operators in European countries. This is very important for us, given the specifics of our customers — the largest Russian mobile operators, for example, Megafon-Moscow, with which the Weblocator transport monitoring system has already been implemented and successfully operated for 2 years.„

According to the general opinion of Russian analysts, who have already spoken out by now in Mass media about Micromuse's entry into the Russian market, Russia is certainly ripe for the introduction of the most complex information systems. But until recently, Micromuse, whose products are used in 15 of the 25 largest companies in the world, practically did not work on the Russian market. Now the situation has changed, but, like everywhere else in the world, Micromuse does not carry out direct sales and direct customer support in our country, shifting this exclusively to local partners, one of which became Race Communications in November.

Race Communications is a Russian system integrator offering laboratory-tested solutions from leading telecommunications equipment suppliers. Race carries out a full cycle of work: design, delivery, installation, as well as training of specialists and project support.
