Race Communications introduces a new family of Cisco 3800 routers.

The high-performance Cisco 3825 and Cisco 3845 routers are built on the basis of the well-known Cisco 3700 family. The Cisco 3800 family is designed for high-speed connections of central offices of companies or large regional offices and provides secure transmission of data, voice and video information.

Secure data, video and voice transmissionA distinctive feature of the Cisco 3800 family is integrated support for security systems, which allows you to quickly create secure data transmission networks.

The Cisco 3825 and Cisco 3845 routers have built-in hardware accelerators of DES, 3DES and AES encryption protocols. In addition, the software implements the functions of the Firewall Firewall, IDS intrusion detection system, URL filtering requests.

IP telephony supportBuilt-in support for voice functions and high density of voice ports 

— a distinctive feature of the new family of routers. Supporting most of the previously released voice modules, the new family allows you to install digital processors directly on the router's motherboard. Currently, the Cisco 3800 supports up to 24 digital E1/T1 ports and up to 88 analog FXS ports.

For companies with Cisco CallManager software already installed, the new family supports the functionality of Survivable Remote Site Telephony, which allows you to maintain the operability of the IP telephony network in case of malfunctions on communication channels. Cisco CallManager Express support allows you to build small and medium-sized IP telephony networks (up to 240 phones) without using Cisco CallManager software. The new CiscoUnity Express AIM module allows you to supplement the router with voice mail functions.
