Race begins deliveries of the universal E1/T1 PRI module for Cisco routers.

New network modules for one or two digital ports E1/T1 are used when connecting to global networks and when terminating digital modem connections. Modules E1/T1 PRI production Cisco Systems increase versatility, make the selection of necessary equipment easier, and save investments in equipment.
The new module is supported in the chassis Cisco 2600XM, Cisco 2691, Cisco 3660, Cisco 3700, starting from version 12.3.

- port - E1 or T1. New modules can be programmatically configured for digital port type E1 or T1, symmetrical (120 ohms) or asymmetrical (75 ohms). This allows you to buy one type of module for four different cases.
- Support for unstructured mode G.703. (Previously unstructured G.703 transmission mode was supported only on VWIC-xMFT-G703 interface cards.) Structured mode E1 (G.704) is also supported.
- High density of PRI compounds. For routers of the average price category new the module allows you to achieve a very high density of digital ports. For example, a fully equipped Cisco 3745 chassis can contain up to 8 E1 PRI ports and up to 240 channels of 64 kbit each.
- Slot for the AIM expansion module. In the future, it will be possible to install the AIM module extensions. Currently this function blocked.
The module is available to order, deliveries from the Race Communications warehouse in Moscow or within 6-8 weeks, prices according to the GPL price list (as of 25 June 2003) are shown in the table.
