Race reports on Cisco's new steps in the field of secure networks.

Race Communications, Cisco's gold partner since 2002, announces that Cisco Systems will acquire IronPort Systems, a leading provider of devices for protecting network messages. The systems developed by IronPort are used by the largest telecom operators and the world's leading corporations to combat spam and spyware in corporate networks.

Combining IronPort solutions with Cisco's self-protecting network system will qualitatively improve network security, especially in the field of email protection, network messages and network content in general. IronPort products and technologies are rightfully considered the best in the industry and successfully complement existing Cisco solutions for security, information protection and network management. The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of fiscal year 2007.
