Race starts shipping Vanguard with the new ONS v. 6.3.

The new version of the Open Networking System (ONS) v. 6.3 operating system extends the capabilities of Vanguard multiservice routers. ONS v. 6.3 network security and performance enhancements include standard Triple DES/AES encryption, support for the T.38 facsimile specification, and VRRP router redundancy tools.

New Vanguard multiservice routers with ONS version 6.3. are available in the Race Communications warehouse since September 15, 2003, the cost of various software packages is from $346. For equipment that is on technical support, software updates are free of charge.
