On September 19, within the framework of the conference "Wireless Communication in Russia" Leonid Lopatin, CEO of Race Communications, made a report on the topic "Prospects for the market of location-based services (LBS)".
This year, the focus of the conference, in addition to the topic of LBS-services as a means of increasing the ARPU of mobile operators, was: analysis of 15 years of experience of cellular communications in Russia, results, forecasts; investment attractiveness of the cellular market in Russia; the introduction of CPP, new rules of the game in the market; a radical change in the marketing and technical policy of mobile operators; new services and search for new market niches.
In his speech dedicated to LBS-services, Leonid Lopatin focused on the current market situation, key problems and ways to solve them, shared in detail Race's vision regarding the prospects and needs of the market in LBS-services for the coming years.
Since 1999, Race Communications has been working on the development, implementation and operation of mobile object monitoring systems, as well as the creation of mobile positioning services integrated with the organizational, marketing, billing and technical resources of GSM mobile operators. The accumulated experience and focus on target groups allowed mobile operators, in partnership with Race Communications CJSC, to organize fleet management services, security and search services and the implementation of location-based services.
