Cisco Systems has announced a new model of the Cisco IP Phone IP Phone 7905. Cisco IP Phone 7905 is an inexpensive, full-featured new generation device that supports a single line and is equipped with a graphical LCD screen and a single Ethernet interface.
The Cisco IP Phone 7905 is designed for the needs of enterprises or service operators and can be used in medium and small businesses, in small or home offices and apartments. The design of the phone fits into the general line of Cisco Systems IP phones and at the same time combines the characteristics of business and home telephones.
The graphical capabilities of the LCD display provide intuitive access to call management functions and additional services based on the use of a GUI graphical interface. The device has four interactive keys to control calls and settings. Two function keys Hold key and Services can be used to put a call into standby mode, to access information on incoming and outgoing calls, to speed dial numbers and to change phone settings.
At the moment, the H.323 protocol is supported, and in the near future it is planned to implement support for MGCP, SIP and SCCP protocols. The phone is powered by a built-in 220 V power supply. Power supply via Ethernet cable is not supported.
The Cisco IP Phone 7905 IP phone has been available for order since June 2002. The phone is supplied complete with a user license and a power cable. Prices in terms of the Global Price List are shown in the table.
